@RespectLife

I have more decorations that I need for this house as well, but last year I watched David's Christmas show where he had the enormous decorations.   I LOVED them!   Yes, they would need a bedroom to themselves just to store them, but decorating would be super fast since these pieces are so large.  So was the cost and I'm sure they were worth it.  I'm just thinking as we are getting older, decorating would be so much easier than putting out all the much smaller items I own now.   But I doubt DH would jump on the bigger is better train with me because it would mean spending money!

I just got back from a quick Aldi run and "Everything" brioche hamburger buns and a nice little bag of bay scallops in the frozen section.  I had scallops on the brain when QVC had them on this weekend but didn't want to pay $140 so I happily grabbed my little bag for $4.99 . . . Smiley Happy

Oh and I bought that wreath with the yellow flowers.  Very nice, I love it.  Not sure it goes where I thought I was going to hang it but I may put it in the kitchen.

In the kitchen you will be able to see it everydayHeart. Good on the scallops,WOW!!!

Oh thanks @tiny 2 yes I'm just not sure where right now but it's staying.  It's funny they had two of the one that I bought but the other one was in rough shape so I am glad I got there today.

And yes I am not the biggest seafood fan but I do enjoy saute'd bay scallops.  Occasionally.  So this little bag is just perfect for me.

Happy Wednesday Kitchenettes!

Like @momtochloe , I returned home about an hour ago from Aldi's.  I missed those Everything brioche buns!  I did snag another carton of eggs though.  And hummus and chips, and a small watermelon.   The list goes on!

Summer came to St. Louis today.   It is sunny and clear right now and the air is so thick from the humidity, it slaps you in the face!

Yep @mustang66lady  I just happened to run into them by the checkouts and I grabbed a bag.  I'm having a burger for lunch so I'll let you guys know how they are.  And the heat and humidity is wafting this way.  This will be the last day I can have the door open for a while . . . Smiley Sad

@momtochloe

I had to chuckle.  There were buns at the checkout at our store too but they were Sprouts buns.  Didn't sound appealing to me nor did they look all that good.  I probably passed up something that tastes better than it looks but I wasn't willing to take a chance.   Hope your everything buns are everything including delicious!

Speaking of Aldi's ...in next weeks ad, they have a Visage Personal Groomer $19.99

Looks like it has 3 heads and one is an epilator.

I think w/ @Writer With Flair   we have talked about epilating.

I paid 2x that for my epilator here on Q and it only has one head.

Aldi's doesn't always have good descriptions for its products in the ad, but one head looks like a buffer to me.  The other looks like a shaver head maybe?  Can't tell...

but either way, excellent price!

Well @mustang66lady  the buns were fine but for me not worth the extra money as I like Aldi's regular hamburger buns the best.  I intentionally didn't put anything on the burger because I wanted to judge the flavor of the bun but ended up with ketchup anyway.  They were fine but again for me I wouldn't pay the extra price.

Thanks for this @RespectLife  as I am rapidly losing the facial hair battle and the product description says it works on your face so I'm going to take a look next week.

Ok, here are my final thoughts on the wreath:

  • The good news is after I pried it out of the box and hung it up it actually works in my bedroom so I am very pleased with that.
  • The bad news is, after I pried it out of the box it is S-T-I-N-K-Y!  Hoo boy.  It was quickly banished to the other bedroom and thankfully the smell has dissipated.
  • Overall, it's a nice little wreath but I don't think it's worth the full $20.  I think they are offsetting the price of the wooden curl ones with others that are of lesser quality to keep the $20 price point.  I am probably going to keep it since I truly do like the way it looks and finally fills out that corner of my bedroom that has been bugging for a long time but it's still on probation for a bit.
