@momtochloe  Our power went out yesterday afternoon and stayed out for several hours.  I removed the clothes from the washer but cannot manage to get the drain out to empty the washer.  The water is starting to sour because it did not progress to the rinse. I hope someone will be able to come tomorrow or Tuesday. In the meantime I am thinking of bailing the water or maybe a wet vac. Lovely!

Hugs & prayers you can get someone there soon to fix the washer.

I wish I was nearby to help you. Not too long ago, I had to empty out my slimy, stinky wash tub in the cellar that had backed up unbeknownst to me.

It just stopped . It will still wash but not empty, rinse and spin.

Hiya @ChiliPepper and Happy Easter to you and Chili Jr.!

Well after glaring at that roast for a couple of hours, I wung it into the toaster oven and I am pleasantly shocked to say it was the best one I ever had/bought.  A really nice hunk o' beef.  I paired it with those potato "pearls" (read: instant mashed potatoes from GFS) and some cauliflower (how nice to have fresher fresh veggies again) and a take and bake roll.  I didn't hold out a lot of hope earlier today but it wasn't too bad.

How goes it with you?  What's on your menu for today?

@tiny 2 I hate to be pesty as I am sure you have already thought of this but would pouring bleach or some kind of disinfectant help with your washer until a repairman can come?

Are you and Mr. tiny2 able to cook/have a meal now?

Ok by me as long as we are together I suppose.

I’ll still cook our meal later & we can have leftovers this week.
