I just wanted to take a moment to draw your attention to the Among Friends forum.  There is a thread there that is Shabbot Shalom and Happy Weekend to All.  The OP has the most uplifting post starting that thread.  I try to read it weekly.  Just thought you all might be interested in something uplifting, especially after yesterday........

I'm actually not involved in this one at all, two people took care of everything (planning, communications, signs, etc.)  They are having pizza and asking everyone to wear their favorite jersey that day.

I had to get plates from Costco because we used almost all of them for the potluck.  Costco had footballs, so I bought 4.  And, Costco had plastic crates for $6 so I got one to store them in.  I love when I can get everything in one place

I think the guys will enjoy tossing them around outside.  I dropped it all off at the office on my way to get my nails done.  I sent an email to the only athlete I know in the building asking him if these were good or if I should get something else and he wrote me a lengthy email about why these were good for our purposes.  LOL  My eyes glazed over when he got into the whole grip and texture of the material.

I didn't want to put a whole big sign on the box about "make sure you put them back when you're done" and "don't throw them inside the building."

So I just taped this picture to the box with the committee logo so they know who bought them:

Sadly, this will probably be lost on 50% of the people. LOL

< sniff >  My committee is all grown up now and they don't need me anymore.  

We had a request to fun a baseball team.  I hope we get enough interest and do that because it will deplete our funds so that we have to cut out some events this year to cover the cost.  From what I looked at online, it's not cheap, plus we have to buy them jerseys.

This could be fun from a player and spectator perspective, so I really want to push this through.
