I'd have to rent people to sit in that many stools anyways!

Tee hee @RespectLife, I don't think you'll have a problem filling up those kitchen seats my friend ( @ChiliPepper and I have already called dibs on two of them) . . . Smiley Happy

I have noticed in kitchens like yours some folks have two backless stools at the end of the kitchen island and then stools with backs on them on the longer sides as it saves a bit of space and makes it easier to maneuver around them . . . I am so excited for you, your house is going to be gorgeous!

@momtochloe

That is an excellent suggestion, thanks!  Filed away in my pea brain for future use!

Wowza Respect!

Love this kitchen but like you, not fond of the stools.  I do like the floors,  and think that they actually may show more gray in person than in the photo.  I could not be happier for you and don't you dare think we are going to tire of you photos and ideas!  I am living vicarously thru you so the more visuals, the better!

Thanks and hugs @mustang66lady !  The kitchen designer must have liked those floors...not sure where she got the picture from.  Maybe her designing software has floors and lighting she can click on when doing it all on the computer.

The flooring and lighting is definitely not close at all to my vision.  I'm dreaming of a black and white kitchen.  DH is dreaming of a wood stained Tuscan/Italian kitchen.

BUZZZER!  Nope.  New me wants more modern.  I win, he loses!  tee hee!

He isn't all that thrilled with the amount of white.  Our granite is much blacker than her computer image.  She is up in Seattle and doesn't have access to our real selections.

Happy Thankful Thursday Kitchenettes!

Today I am thankful for computers and photos so we can see @RespectLife dream house as it is envisioned and being made real.

I am thankful for @momtochloe that she has decided to brave a new path and is moving forward to a new life.

I am thankful for @ChiliPepper for the wonderful uplifting graphics she shares each day and that she is the woman I wish I was as she raises a daughter into a woman by herself in an area that makes me freeze to read the weather reports she shares.

I am thankful for @VaBelle35 yet another woman I wish I could be-a true force to recon with.  Organized, educated, and willing to tackle any task presented to her with attention to detail that enriches other's lives.

I am thankful for @Honeybit-our Southern sister who has given us a better picture of herself these past few days.  Gentle, Southern strength and wonderful charming wit!

I am thankful for @Writer with Flair for her and Mr. Writer's faithfulness to keep us all in their prayers even when they are ill and/or dealing with tragedies in the lives of others.

I am thankful for @novamc1 and her courage to move in winter none the less and begin a new life with her spouse while educating me on how to downsize and how she is handling letting go.

Now, I better get busy cleaning the house or it won't get done.  I have a schedule to get things done and can't rest when I stray off of it!  Good thing is today, I don't think it will take me too long to finish!
