@momtochloe  Good morning mtc and thanks for the very kind words.  A nice way to start my day Smiley Very Happy

Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary of giving up sugar and grains.  I decided to sample some Halloween candy to see if I still liked it, but like packaged baked goods, they all have a metalic taste.  Even my beloved Snickers.  The only thing that was decent were York peppermint patties, but they are too sweet for me.

< sniff >

@VaBelle35 the candy that is offered these days are so pitiful . . . for some reason (and I apologize in advance for this description) cheap chocolate makes me break out in sneezing fits not to be believed.  Doesn't happen with higher quality chocolates (such as Trader Joe's) but a regular every day candy bar will bring fits so I haven't even sampled my purchases.  I feel bad for kids today as they are missing out on so much . . . Smiley Sad

@Honeybit I am so glad you are on the mend and are looking forward to having company but I do have to ask how does The Most Fabulous Yazzy feel about strange folks in his house? . . . tee hee, just kidding I am just glad you are finally feeling better and will be able to fully enjoy the upcoming holiday season . . . The Most Fabulous Yazzy just loves everybody.  Whenever I take him to PetSmart, he wants to greet everyone there -- I think he's convinced they all came out just to see him -- it's like being part of a Royal Progress. Besides, if he can put up with me, I don't think he'll be too perturbed by any other "strange" folks in this house (tee-hee).

We spent a lot of time out on the porch today -- too hot to go walking in the sun but glorious in the shade.  I had a good book to read and just ENJOYED feeling good again.  Later I did my "nibble" for the day and now I'm rewarding myself for good behavior by dropping by here and then will read what's new in Recipe Swap.

Do I know how to really live it up or what?

@RespectLife

I saw your post to adoreqvc aboout the recipe for broiled fish stuffed with crab meat and topped with buttery bread crumbs.  I don't have a copy of such a recipe in my QVC recipe file and can't find one by searching the QVC boards.  I even looked at several pages of adoreqvc's posts.  I did find her original post for the sweet potatoes:

"...i had 2 sweet potatoes and peeled, cubed and boiled them.

then mashed with hand masher and added 1 teaspoon each of tequila, key west real lime juice, Vermont maple syrup, plenty sweet butter, and salt & pepper.

Delicious with my left over smoked sliced roast pork, and had this for a late lunch, and will finish the rest tonight for dinner........ just a little sweet potatoes are left and a few more remaining slices of the smoked roast pork. ...

It only mentioned roast pork but not a stuffed fish recipe.

I saw mtc searched also.  Just wanted you to know I tried to find it for you -- maybe when adoreqvc gets back you can give her a shout-out for the recipe.  It does sound good.

Oh good heavens @Honeybit I don't know who to be more jealous of, the folks that are going to be visiting you soon or the lucky customers at PetSmart . . . Heart
