Snicker, hee hee...I'm truly sorry! I think I usually send my lousy weather your way. Right about now I'd pay to send it any where!

It stopped around 3 pm but hasn't melted...hang in there...it should be over soon!

Thank goodness I have Potsticker Soup left over at home. I'm chilled to the bone! We are only going to a high of 25 deg. on Saturday!

Oh Respect,

I'm so sorry you got snow again today! I was traumatized by the snow last winter and just lived in dread of the snow and cold again this year. Thankfully, ours was no where near as bad, but have had enough, none the less. Maybe this will be it for you all. We had storms and there was a tornado in MO, but we just had lightening. I have lived here most of my life; am used to the tornado warnings and watches. Have lived thru a few. We had a horrible wind shear a few years ago but thankfully no one lost their life. Stay warm; and stay in touch with us.

ChiliPepper,

I'm sorry you are getting snow, too. Hopefully you won't get too much and hopefully you are fully stocked with food for you and yours. In our area even if we do get a lot of snow this time of year, it doesn't last long but is usually wet and heavy. Will you post your favorite meatball recipe? I am a cheater and usually buy mine....{#emotions_dlg.blushing}

Waving hi to all the other Kitchenettes!

I made Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes with roasted asparagus last night and the tortellini soup tonight. Have leftovers to take to my Uncle of both and a little left over for a meal for us. It will be much colder here tomorrow but not as cold as you all. Still a drop of 30 or more degrees will be noticed! Will be below freezing tomorrow night and cold Saturday but as long as we don't have to shovel anything, it's all good. Hope you all are safe and warm and have not only a good evening but have great plans for the weekend!

I saw on the news that Oklahoma was hit by tornadoes. How tragic. I can't even imagine going through a storm like that.

At least with out blizzards....we see them coming with plenty of notice.

Stay safe Mustang!

Good morning, Respect!

How much snow did you all end up having? Hope it is the last you see this season. Thought of you this morning-I walked my grandson to the bus, walked back inside and grabbed my handbag and keys and headed out the door and low and behold, there was snowflakes falling! They melted about as soon as they fell to the ground and didn't last long. Just hope they run out and not build up and dump on you all as they head away from us.

I guess we all acclimate to where we live. I don't think I would care for the nor' easter's, or hurricanes! We sometimes get tail end of hurricanes even this far inland but they are no where as intense as they are when they first hit land. As I said before, have lived here most of my life and people just kind of keep certain things ready in case a tornado hits but we all realize that even storage can be taken up in a tornado. Have watched many tornados thru the years and will tell you they are more awesome than they appear on t.v. To see something so powerful you just can't believe this "thing" exists. I always feel the sky looks like the Wrath of God before they hit. DH grew up on the east coast and I had to drag him in when he saw his first tornado wall. They catch you up in awe at their sight, then send you running out of fear!

Have a good day and stay warm!

We ended up with only a little over 1 inch of snow....not too bad...for the END of March!

We got the lion part down pat...I am just waiting for the LAMB to begin...it has 4 more days to show!

It will only be a high of 20 something tomorrow...so I don't think it will melt yet...but better weather coming next week. So they say....

Tomorrow, we are going for our first ever Easter trip to the Broadway market. I am getting a Butter Lamb...although I have no idea why! Just always wanted to decorate my Easter table with a Butter Lamb! LOL

I am looking for a GOOD Polish Sausage and whatever else might be exciting at this market. Homemade Perogis too (sp?)

There are suppose to be tons of specialty vendors and lots of regional/ethnic treats. I will probably come home broke and fat! I'm excited.

Ok, now you have to educate me; is a butter lamb made of butter? I have no idea. In August, IL has its' state fair and there is always a butter cow - a life-size cow carved out of butter! It's hysterical to see that cow staring you down. All I can see in my minds' eye is a little lamb carved from butter! But what fun you are going to have tomorrow. You will have to keep a little journal and report back here of what you saw and ate. I'm so jealous! No, really I'm so happy you get a chance to experience this. Take a taste for all of us! {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

I think it is! I see them on TV every year when the local news goes to this market....a lamb carved out of butter. But table size....unless I find a giant one there when I go! They look really beautifully done. Don't ask me what I am going to do w/ him after...I don't even think I am making an Easter dish that needs butter once served...but Lambchops will adore my Easter Buffet and just look cute. Maybe I should make a loaf of homemade bread so I can justify to DH why I bought one! LOL

I hope my kids will appreciate his cuteness since they are NOT getting chocolate, no Easter baskets. They can ooh and ahh over this carving!

At least once in my life I will have a Buffalo Broadway Market Easter Butter Lamb on my table. Then I will carve his little behind up and cook or bake with him, I suppose!

I saw a butter lamb at the grocery store last night! I have heard of them but never seen one.

I didn't buy it though - I know myself too well. He/she would be so cute I wouldn't want to actually use it so I would have it sitting around my kitchen forever LOL!

ChiliPepper,

Think of how long that life size cow from the state fair would be standing around! LOL!

I think that little butter lamb would be cute and how much fun for everyone to see on Easter. Yes, maybe some homemade bread would justify it to your husband, Respect. Or maybe a ton of popcorn! That would get my DH's attention!

oh..yeah...I'm switching that to Easter Popcorn! Maybe Ben Hur will be on...that long movie with popcorn might put a dent in my lamby!

I wish I could take a pic for you guys...I finally learned how to take a pic w/ my cell phone but don't know how to get it into a computer...and can't seem to copy/paste pics on this board when I try. I so admire those with electronic skills!
