Good evening

I am back from my day out.  It was no bad out.  Walking around in the shade it was quite pleasant, no humidity and a nice breeze.  In the sun, it was pretty toasty, but at least it wasn't humid.

Lord & Taylor was a mod scene.  I am so glad I just ordered the additional colors and sizes on line than try to find it in that mess.  I looked through the dresses, since those are hard to fit and tried on a bunch but didn't get anything.

I was able to get the price adjustment on the pink purse.  When the purse arrived, it was tagged $91.16.  So technically I should have received 20% off the $91.16 not the $137.85.  But trying to explain it on the phone was getting me no where.  The store manage was able to do it on the phone and explain the issue.  He said that someone wrongly tagged the purse and he tried to take the tag off (as if I had put the tag on there, which I can see them doing) but he couldn't get it off, so it was a legitimate store tag.

They made the adjustment over the phone, so I received a $16 credit.

I was prepared to return the purse if they didn't adjust it.

This is my beef with Macy's.  Macy's pulls the tags off their purses so you have no idea what the price is until you take it to the register.  I just find that so unethical.  They only do it with clearance purses.

I just caught the end of Lisa Robertson's live chat on Facebook. I didn't realize how much I miss her personality on TV.  She tells some great stories.  She was talking about her trip to Egypt tonight.

Respect,

What a wonderful thing to do to sing at Papa's funeral.  I just loved the dump truck being in the funeral procession.  That is so dear.

VaBelle,

A karaoke machine at a funeral sounds like a great idea to me--very life-affirming.  I love it.  It it were for my funeral, I would request some early Beatle's music, my favorite songs from Disney animated movies, some hymns, anything by Keith Green like "You are the One https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrPEpG5o0Ko&list=PL62584F5525BB92AF," , "Come and See" by Bob Bennett http://www.ask.com/youtube?q=youtube+Bob+Bennet+come+and+see&qsrc=1&o=0&l=dir&qo=serpSearchTopBox, and Barbra Streisand's "A Piece of Sky," from her movie Yentl."  http://www.ask.com/youtube?q=youtube+a+piece+of+sky+from+yenti%3B&v=R8gxezCBscA&qsrc=472

To All Kitchenettes,

Thank you so much for all your prayers for my friend's son.  He is now able to focus and smiled a big smile when his mother (my friend) came back in the room.  He still is not able to move anything on his right side, but he will be starting speech therapy soon.  I am amazed at how quickly he has been recovering.  It truly is amazing.

In answer to your questions about his age, he is a grown man and not a child.  I know that my friend still thinks of him as her "baby" even though he is an adult.  When my mother was alive she used to tell me, "You will always be my little girl."  I am glad that some things never change.

I still am not feeling back up to speed, so I will sign out now.

Well @ChiliPepper my friend I have to tell you your day sounds absolutely exhausting as my chore du jour is waiting to pay the sweet little girl that delivers the local newspaper.  They are such a nice family and are raising such wonderful young women (you know, like you with your DD)!  Heart

Good morning (almost afternoon) my good friends

I made it to cycle class this morning.  So I feel good about that.

Nothing planned for today.  It is supposed to start raining/storming after noon today so whatever I plan should be indoors.

Wegmans had wonderful heirloom tomatoes yesterday and fresh green figs.  So there will be good eating today in any event.

@Writer with Flair

Good morning Kitchenettes!

We are back from the vet and I turned on HSN-the special value today is a LEATHER Handbag with RFID clutch for 39.95, 4 flex pays and free shipping and handling, in about 12 colors and it comes in WHITE!  Hope you see this ASAP Writer!  The blush color is about to sell out and they said a couple of other colors are getting close to selling out!  It is a Joy Mangano bag if that makes a difference to you or not-I don't have an opinion one way or another but I know many people seem to have strong opinions about her both good and bad.  They just said the French blue will sell out this presentation.

And just like that, the skies opened up.

I didn't even have time to get my door ornament or hanging plants down.

Oy!
