Dear Kitchenettes,

Thanks so much for all your prayers for Rodney's recovery.  I talked to his mom this morning and he had a "fair night," as she put it.

The doctors have said that the surgery is working and it has relieved the pressure on his brain.  The swelling in his eye and face area has decreased as well.  He is still unresponsive, though, which is concerning.

Please, please continue to pray.  I have to run out and get a few things for my friend and her husband and then will go on over to the hospital.

Bless you dear, dear @Writer with Flair  and Mr. Writer.  I know you are both a source of strength for your friends and Rodney.

A wonderful gift you both are of support.  During difficult times, people like you are such a Godsend.

Babysitting is done for the day.

I had her do some paperwork tasks and she did a great job.  (I think, lol)

She is quiet as a church mouse that girl!

Not sure when she will be back....

Just now I was opened up to Page 19

April 2015

We were actually all talking about soup!  How about that!

and Lavendersage's recipes.

Chili and I were trying to figure out what to do with tumeric.

I still have very little usage..how about you @ChiliPepper

@mustang66lady couldn't sleep because her hand was painful and waking her up.  She mentioned she needed surgery.

Dear sweetie, mustang...now that you have had the surgery....are you all healed and back to full usage...in both hands???

I think this crazy page selection thingy is starting to be fun!  I get to reminisce and recap our history a bit!

LOL  Let's see if it is a pattern and the next time Q takes me to Page 20!

Prayers for Rodney

(((((Rodney)))))

Did they find out what happened to him? Sorry, I haven't had a chance to read all the posts yet.

Very scary!!!!!

Dear Chili,

Rodney's mother (my friend) has been so focused on his present condition, that she has not said anything more about what they think happened to him.

Thanks so much for your prayers.  They defintely are helping.

@Writer with Flair

Totally understandable. His family & friends need to be focused on him & his recovery.

However, I hope the authorities are focused on who ever did this though. Such a horrific thing to go through.

I will keep him in my prayers.

@RespectLife I know it's tough for you to have to babysit but I think it's kind of sweet that she wanted to come back and work with you.  You are very kind to her which may help build some much needed confidence within her.  Good on you Respect!  Heart

I forgot one other important point yesterday.

It takes you to the last UNREAD message.  It was doing that for me, too, so I had to go in after I read everything for the day and mark the thread at "read" and now it takes me to the end every time.

Since I had coffee made for iced coffee already, I went ahead and made the coffee ice pops just now.  Because, really, I am not in the mood to work AT ALL.  Lucky for me I already have 62 hours worked this week, so it's not like I'm slacking or anything.  LOL

But, putting in that many hours in a short period of time makes me hit a wall, creatively and motivationally.  It didn't help that every time I open up hour home page, I see the smiling faces of 962 employees who received promotions this year.  Nothing sucks the motivation right out of you seeing the undeserving get promoted.

But I digress....

Iced Coffee Ice Pops

I used decaff espresso, coconut cream and chopped up 88%  chocolate.

mtc,

I just wanted to let you know that I am continuing to pray for your job hunt.  You are an amazing person and I know that there is a company out there that will see the amazing person that you are and snap you right up.

    You rule!

Man I just read the rest of that blog post about the coffee pops.

They suggest adding Kahlua.

Next batch ;o)
