What is Korres?
@RespectLife Korres is a wonderful bath and skincare line that is offered on HSN. I find them to be very moisturizing without being sticky and I love their scents which last all day. I bought them as a TS to try them and then bought a few more sets which I am glad I still have when I go someplace fancy like tomorrow . . . I couldn't recommend them more to be honest!
Ah! Thanks @momtochloe
I never heard of that line! If I ever use up the stash of Philosophy and Josie, I will keep that line in mind!
I'm the same way. I can see the light at the end of my Philosophy tunnel and would like to try Korres next.

Mustang,
Nothing exciting to report from last weekend. No royalty was in town that I know of. (If they were, they didn't try to get in touch with us.) I did, however, buy a People Magazine supplement on Kate Middleton ("Royal Mom and Future Queen") at Costco. Does that count?
Thanks for reminding me about those Tupperware Popsicle things. I need to get into my cabinets and see what all Tupperware stuff I do still have. I bet it will be like Christmas morning all over again.
mtc,
I am still keeping you in my prayers, dear friend, regarding your job search. I know there is just the right job with just the right company. The job fair idea sounds like a good one. Even if it turns out there isn't anything immediately that you like, it is still good practice in interviewing and selling yourself. I am proud of you for continuing to pursue leads. You shall prevail!
I once won a contest on the other shopping chanel and they sent me a couple of nice Korres things in kind of a pine scent and a free purse (I completed a survey.). They really worked well. It's a nice line.
Let me know how you like Comcast. We got a good package deal a while back with Verizon. Recently, however, they ended up selling their FIOS business to Frontier. Things are not looking good—especially in the “On Demand” area. I missed the last two episodes of “Scorpion,” thinking they would be “On Demand” the next day after they were broadcast. It has been a couple of weeks and they still are not there. Bummer! We finally went to the CBS site and watched them on the computer.
Novamc,
I cook an entire package of bacon at one time and put it in the freezer. It really saves time and mess. I slightly undercook it, so it won't get overcooked if I choose to crisp it up a bit in the microwave.
I wish you lived nearby so I could “bless” you with some of my overflow of Tupperware. Years ago, my best friend was selling it to help ends meet and I bought a WHOLE LOT of that stuff to help her out. (She was a horrible salesperson and I think that I was one of her few sales.)
There are things like a rectangular cake storage thingie with a handle that I just forget to use. Although I did see a cupcake storage thing at Marshalls the other day that looked interesting. Who am I kidding—WRITER, PUT THAT THING DOWN AND SLOWLY BACK AWAY FROM THE SHELF. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MORE KITCHEN STORAGE STUFF! Ironically, I am running out of storage room to store my storage stuff. Go figure.
Chili,
Your suggestion of making the woven bacon for BLT's was amazing. What a great idea!
I am still implementing some of your ideas from last week. I am here to say that wrapping a piece of Saran Wrap around the end of a bunch of bananas does indeed slow down the ripening process. Who knew? You rule, young lady.
In that same vein, do you think if I wrapped some Saran Wrap around the top of my head it would slow down the aging process? Just a thought
I, too, have one of those dip and veggie servers/storers which I also never use (along with a ceramic deviled egg plate complete with hen and rooster salt and pepper shakers.) It's comforting to know that we have them, though, isn't it? I guess it would be like owning a real tiara. In case you ever got an invitation from the royal family to a formal do, you'd be ready for it.
Thanks for the photo of this little milk shake thingamabob. I still have mine and used it religiously in my Weight Watcher days to make Alba Sugar-Free milk shakes.
Respect,
Thanks for letting me know about that Linea jacket. What a bummer! I think that I will pass on it. That wasn't an inexpensive purchase, either. Yikes! I'm sorry you have to return it.
Have you ever tried “Wondra” flour? I used it for years. It is very finely ground, so you can make gravy easily. I use arrowroot now (less carbs).
You have some wonderful dressing recipes. Num-num!
HoneyBit,
Thanks so much for posting those Tupperware pictures—especially of the green lettuce knife. I don't remember ever seeing one of those before. It looks like you have an amazing Tupperware collection, my friend.
I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it, but it really is true how few gadgets we had when we were growing up. There was the Fear-Inducing Pressure Cooker (“Don't touch it. It might explode!”), the two-slice toaster and a waffle iron (both in chrome), and later, an electric frying pan and a mixer (we used one of those crank hand mixers for a long time before that) and, of course, the Life-Changing crockpot.
My next door neighbor's mother had a little jar with a chopper in the lid for chopping pickles or onions. At the time, I remember thinking how cool it was. There just weren't that many gadgets out there and certainly not more than one finish or color to choose from. WOW! Things really have changed.
For a long time, there were only cake mixes (no frosting mixes) and those came in limited flavors: initally white, yellow, chocolate, and later Angel Food and Spice.
For a long time, my mother turned her nose up at cake mixes. She warmed right away to Jello, however. Before that, she used Knox gelatin—but not very often. With the advent of Jello, a whole world of Culinary Possibilties opened up to her.
I remember two Jello-based salads she made that I really liked. One was orange jello with shredded carrots and oranges in it. Another one is a little less clear in my memory; I think it had lime Jello, cream cheese, pineapple, and pecans and possibly maraschino cherries in it? Does anyone remember that salad?
VaBelle,
Just when you think you can go home and relax a bit, all the stuff happened with the dogs and kids. Hope you can rest and relax for the rest of the evening.

I've been up since 2 am, working since 3 am because if I can't fall asleep in an hour and I already have 5 action items I need to remember to do, it's time to get up. And, it was easier to just do them than to write down that I needed to do them.
I went back to bed around 5 and have been working since 7:30 nonstop. Question after question, request after request. When I am using 2 phones at the same time trying to multitask, you know it's bad.
I went to the doctor yesterday because this cyst I have on my side decided it was time for it's annual party. They gave me augmenten, which causes insomnia for me. But it's better than avalox, which gives me a horrible headache for the entire time. I will just be productive but crabby for the next 10 days. LOL
I have to get to Costco and the Party Store for our work event next week. The skies are clearing so I think I will go after my noon meeting.
If I can finish breakfast.
@VaBelle35 I had a job like that. Even if I worked 60 hours a week there was still so much stuff waiting for you. I hope you take care of yourself as with me when I was overloaded like this, physical things would pop up that I know were caused by being so (for me) overwhelmed between work and my mom . . . please take care of yourself my friend . . .
I am. I can't keep up with all the questions all day long. And meeting. OMG the meetings.
I went out to Costco and the Party Store before it started raining again to get what I need for our event next week. It was a good break to get away from my email.

When I came home from Costco, the boys were outside playing since it was after school. They have these guns with rubber pellets that they love and play every day when it's not pouring down rain. They have a lot of fun chasing each other around. They are all ages, HS to pre-school. Although the pre-schoolers tend to just wander around aimlessly or sit and ponder the grass.
The older boy opened the door to yell at someone in the house and the dog was nearby, saw the kids running around, assumed someone was trying to hurt his kids and flew out of the house, teeth showing. The boys scattered but the youngest pre-schooler couldn't move fast enough and got bit in the leg. He was more scared than hurt, although we did get his pants down to see that he had a bruise starting on the bag of his thigh (and adorable race car undies). He was more scared than hurt, but that will be quite a bruise even though he had on very heavy jeans. I picked him up (I don't even know who's kid it is, I assumed it was one of the houses near me but no mothers came running out. We finally got him quieted down and my neighbor took him home.
I hope he explained it properly. I would hate for the police to be called about the dog or a huge issue made of it. It was an innocent scenario.

Keeping up with the royalty is part of rubbing elbows with the elite! Of course purchasing that magazine counts points!
Do you think this would be enough plastic on the head?
or do you think it would have to encase the entire head to slow down aging?
Mustang, you Little Dickens!
I'll have to cogitate over that!
We just finished dinner and are on our way out to Costco and Whole Foods. I'll be sure to check our Saran Wrap supply before we go in case Costco has a special on it. (Tee-hee)
Regarding encasing the whole head in plastic wrap, yes, it would definitely slow down aging because you could not breathe and you would die.
It seems like I remember people wrapping their thighs and tummies in plastic wrap in the 80's. They did lose inches, but it was only temporary.
Lady Gaga is always having dresses made out of unusual things. Wonder if she has ever used plastic wrap? Chili, can you research this? If she has, I know you can find it on the Internet.
Gotta go, ladies. Plastic wrap and other things are calling me.
