Okay my friends...I am on the lookout for a recipe for Anchovey Crusted Salmon with a liver and mushroom pate on top !

Just for you guys!

 TEEE HEEEEE  !!!

Okay, Respect,

You Little Dickens! What will you think of next!

If you can come up with a recipe for Anchovy Crusted Salmon with a liver and mushroom pate on top, no doubt Chili will find an equally creative libation to down while eating this amazing dish. I did have a question about this dish: does one serve the Anchovy Crusted Salmon with a liver and mushroom pate dish with slices of fresh avocado on top? Inquiring minds want to know. Somehow that addition felt “right.”

It could have been worse as I see no mention of avocado . . .

That's cuz Chili and I have decided we could 'suffer' (tee Hee) through avocado if we had to.  We don't hate it...just don't love it.  Same with the sprouts!

I added peas to the list of things I could suffer through since they can be swallowed whole like a pill with a glass of milk or water.

So the others were on @ChiliPepper list of...

AIN'T NO WAY....NOPE, NADA, FERGIT ABOUT IT...

YOU CAN'T MAKE ME EAT THAT...I'LL SIT AT THIS TABLE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.....

I'D RATHER EAT DIRT AND WORMS....

Respect,

Per your request, I am enclosing a recipe for a Dirt and Worms Dessert. I hope it was what you had in mind.

Dirt and Worms Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • 1 (16 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

  • Add all ingredients to list

Directions

  1. Beat milk and pudding mix together in a bowl until well blended and slightly thickened; let stand to thicken, about 5 minutes.

  2. Stir whipped topping and 1/2 of the crushed cookies into pudding. Spoon 1 tablespoon crushed cookies into each serving cup. Fill each cup 3/4-full with pudding mixture and top with remaining crushed cookies. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Here is a drink recipe you may also like:   Dirt Cup Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 cup crushed Oreo's
1 lemon wedge
2 cups gummy worms
2 1/4 cups vodka
1/2 cup kahula
1 pint Half-n-Half
Ice

Directions:

Put gummy worms into a plastic container. Pour 2 cups of vodka over the gummy worms, seal it with a lid, and let the worms soak overnight.

The next day, pour the crushed Oreo's onto a plate. Take glass and rub the rim all the way around with a lemon wedge. Flip the cup over and place the rim of the glass into the crushed Oreo's covering the rim. Next, fill the glass with ice. Add four or five vodka soaked gummy worms, 1 tablespoon of vodka, 2 tablespoons of Kahula, and fill the rest of the glass full of half-n-half. Repeat process with remaining three glasses.

You know, I remember having to do that as a kid, it was over peas though. BTW, I really like peas now.

Me throwing up peas after being forced to eat them sure cured my father from the "force feeding" LOL!!!

@ChiliPepper

Oh my sista from another part of the state...TOO FUNNY!

That was my main culprit for the long stays at the dinner table...peas!

However, I still hate them.

They are much easier to manipulate than other veggies tho....if you mush them around the plate, you can disquise them as just being the remnants of the dinner you did eat.

They mash into your pockets very easily.

As mentioned, you can swallow them whole like a pill with lots of milk.

You can shoot many of them onto your sister's plate before she catches you.

They hide very well in your shoes or socks.

You can hide many in your checks without being seen (as you excuse yourself to go to the bathroom)

Just like boogers, they will stick underneath the kitchen table for several days b4 being discovered.

These are just a few ways to deal with them.  I am currently compiling a new children's book:

101 Ways to Hide Veggies You Refuse to Eat.

I expect it to be a top seller.

Happy Terrific Tuesday

re Casino

@mustang66lady  I just played with house money.  I had $35 for not having been there for a while and $50 for my birthday, so I didn't have to use any of my own money to enjoy the day (except for my burger, which is not part of the casino credit system).

re car

So I got out of there with just the oil change and as soon as I got home, I saw that my headlight was out.  I went on YouTube and it's not an easy job.  I have to get my inspection in May, so I think I can get to May 1st without having to use my headlights.  I'm not really out after dark now that sunset is around 7:30.  If I have go to before May, I will just get the inspection a month early.  I'm not sitting there twice.

My sister woke me up this morning at 8:30 to complain.  It was warm in the house overnight so I was up around 3:30 and finally got back to sleep around 6.  Then the power went out briefly so I was able to get her off the phone after an hour.  Oy!

I did a little more work in the garden, but it's hot out there already.  I still have to bury my soaker hoses and then I'm done out there.

I stopped by Walmart and picked up some hanging baskets of petunias.  The ground is too dry to get my hanger in the ground where I want it, so I have it in a temporary spot until it rains on Friday and then I should be able to move it.

I am making this for breakfast/brunch this morning since there is no cycle class today (cover your eyes avocado haters!):

Potato Avocado "Toast" with Poached Eggs (except I'm frying my eggs for convenience):

I have a doctor appointment later today.  I am trying to decide where to go after.  I am researching dining options as I never go out that way anymore (I used to work over there years ago but it's changed significantly since then, hopefully there is still a Talbot's over there).

That drink looks fantastic.  I love Kahlua and Cream and doing the oreos around the outside is an insane idea.

Hey look who's posting before bedtime!  Happy Terrific Tuesday, Kitchenettes!

Vabelle,

I think your brunch looks wonderful!  But then again, I was the one who actually made and drank the avocado margarita, too!    I'm thinking that brunch served with a Tequila Sunrise would be a great Cinco De Mayo brunch, too!

Sounds like you had a great time at the casino.  I had a neighbor-a widow lady that didn't have any family.  She would go to the casinos on holidays as she firmly believed the slot machines were "looser" on those days to attact business.  I have no clue if she was right or not, but she did seem to always come back with a little winnings.  The person (I refuse to call him a man) that beat me up, used to go to the casinos all the time-the first time I ever went was on our first date.  He always played black jack because he was able to count cards.  He always walked off considerably better than he started.  It took me awhile to realize what he was doing, not being well versed in gambling.  Then I was afraid security would arrest us if they figured out what he was doing.  I stopped going!
