Chili,

I don't want things to come to that point for anyone-on this thread or any other.  But I certainly understand why someone would stop posting if that happened.  Sometimes it has happened multiple times to a poster.  I can think of one regular contributor here who really got full on slammed by a couple of snarky people who didn't regularly post on any thread in the recipe area.  It really got her upset to the point she did jump to some bad conclusions and eventually left.   I felt bad for her because I think we were her "neighbors."  I really hope she has found friends somewhere because she was a nice person, contributed lots of recipes and tried to get along.  For some reason, she became a target.

I saw that too, @ChiliPepper

I was going to post on it then thought I shouldn't.

I was just going to say that amongst our chatter is some of the best recipes I have ever eaten or made.  Making friendships, sharing a common love for cooking and food is what these boards should be about!

I actually think there are a great number of recipes posted still.  I know the Recipe Game slows from time to time, but it is stil active every month.

Since I have a lot of down time here at work, I also scan and see if any other topics are interesting to me.

I loved the kitchen gadget one....and the growing herb one....

Do you think it may bother others that we post our recipes here instead of starting a new thread for it?

I hope others know we would love for them to join in Potsticker Soup!

@RespectLife

@momtochloe

I was going to get on my soap box over there also but decided against it. I don't want to argue with anyone. The older I get the more I want to surround myself with positivity, friendship & happiness not negativity. That's what is so great about this thread, we rejoice during the good times & pray & lift each other up during the troubling times.

I don't think it has anything to do with us (or if it does - I simply don't care!).

I think there are some people (remember the Food Police???) that like to complain no matter what.

I decided to ignore them & concentrate on you wonderful Ladies!

Plus, mtc does a GREAT job posting those links (did you see the crescent roll one???). She covers the Kitchenettes well with her recipe postings LOL!!!

BTW, thanks for the reminder, I wanted to go back & check out the gadget & herb threads.

Well said, sweetie pie!

OMGoodness...that crescent link, the chix link, etc etc

@momtochloe  has given the WORLD a wealth of yummy recipes!

I made that Sopa..whatever  cheesecake w/ crescent rolls once.  I couldn't BELIEVE how delish and easy it was!  I never used to buy those things but def. will try those recipes.  I copied a bunch of them.

@mustang66lady

LOL  SO TRUE!  We say something, even silly....and voila!  A recipe appears about it!

And a pic to entertain us as well!

I love that about this thread!

You all made me go out and read that thread.  Ugh but so true.  I think I posted one or 2 recipes and got a similar welcome as @novamc1 from the peanut gallery, so I completely stopped going there and reading/posting recipes.

I came home after 2 hours.  It actually took me longer to get to work this morning in the rain than I stayed at work.  I cleaned out my bookshelf of old conference handouts that are 10+ years old and everything that had my old company name on it.  It's time to embace 2016.  LOL

My eyes were killing me, too.  I am most definitely allergic to the prescription eye drops for allergies.  I used them for the first time last night since last summer when I was having all of my eye issues.  My eyes are completely red and under my eyes are really puffy. Not a good look.

At least now I know for sure that they contributed to the issue.

Hello Chili!

Thank you for your kind words.

I had to jump over to the Kitchen boards to see what was going on there-I didn't get the feeling that they were upset about us and I do understand that they may not be seeing the recipes as we post them.  Honestly, the way a lot of the recipes come up that we post, it is the result of a conversation or event happening in our lives.  Example, the tree frog cocktail you posted when I commented about our pool being a lab experiment for tree frog reproduction!  You probably would not have posted that had the topic of tree frogs came up.  To start a new post on every recipe one of us posts as a result of a silly topic we may be discussing would probably overwhelm the boards and be impossible for us to keep up with.

@mustang66lady

Exactly!!!! That would have made no sense to anyone except us. I would have looked crazy!!!

But, I sincerely feel that we welcome any newbies that show up. People are busy, sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't.

Once in a while late at night I read some of the other threads if I have a few minutes. There is definitely a different atmosphere in some of them than here. Of course its not nearly as bad as before the change because the mods close the thread if it gets nasty.

There are just some people that like to fight & carry on & I am not one of them. I like it here where we are  relatively safe from most of it.

@VaBelle35

I'm so glad you pinpointed the problem!  I hope your eyes clear very soon!

Especially for someone whose work entails such detailing!

Relax and enjoy a nice soothing washcloth over them...and a glass of wine!

Speaking of wine!  @ChiliPepper

I meant to talk to you about Canei!  So funny you mentioned it!  In our younger days, it was our wine of choice cuz it is sweet and kinda cheap!  LOL  Sorta Boones Farmish!  LOL

I wouldn't cook with it though!  If you want...I can give you the names of the red and white I use to cook with.  Of course, you can use anything....but I buys these all the time for cooking.

They are reasonably priced and easy to find.  Don't ask me the names now...LOL...I can't remember!  ha ha!

I have the wash cloth ready, I was waiting for this painful (PAINFUL) (P.A.I.N.F.U.L.) conference call to end before I begin winding down for the night.

Thanks for reminding me about the wine.  I still have a splash of red left from the pot roast ;o)
