Here are the silicone striped cloth oven mitts by All-Clad from BedBathBeyond that I have used for a long time  They wash well, need some time in the dryer plus some air-drying time due to the thick cloth inside.  I really like them.  They are rather costly, but a good investment, in my view.5684613265366m.jpg

@mustang66lady

QVC won't allow a link to another retailer here, but you can easily order from the BedBathBeyond website. If you have a coupon for 20 percent off, all the better.

Wow, these are really nice mitts . . . good recommendation @novamc1!

@mustang66lady I don't know if you are an Amazon Prime member but they have a mind-boggling selection of colors for these wonderful mitts!

Color selection of the All-Clad mitts tends to vary each time I go to Bed Bath Beyond, but mine are dark red/burgundy and I've  seen them in black, all-white, dark green, blue and yellow

Right now they have the beige for $14.99 and the black for $19.99.  On my way to looking up something else on Amazon I did a quick check just to see what they had and I was shocked at the amount of colors available.  Very pretty and now I need to leave this thread as I am very concerned that a set may end up at my house in a couple of days . . . @mtc

I guess you've noticed that the two mitt styles differ........I think the lower-priced $14.99 model doesn't have the silicone stripes.  BTW, Calphalon used to supply these to BedBathBeyond, but the stripes ran vertically instead of horizontally.  Don't know when All-Clad took over.  Mine are actually Calphalon and are about 3 years old by now.

I had to run to the pharmacy and grocery store - sorry for not responding to you all sooner after you all took so much time re; the pot holder situation!

I am going thru with the moppines but am going to make a trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond in the near future to check out these potholders-they look like they are something I would really like and novamc said they held up so that's a plus also.

mtc,

I have never ordered a thing from Amazon!  Am I the only person suriving that has not done this?!  I have to admit, I think I am intimidated at browsing thru things there.  I am a visual person-watching QVC or shopping in stores where I have an idea of what I am looking for,etc agrees with me.  Maybe it's because I feel it is easier to compare than looking at one thing at a time, I don't know-crazy, as I diagnosed!  Even looking at catalogues (anyone remember those?) as I sometimes will pick something up from LTD or Miles Kimball but I do not seem to have the patience to browse their on line items!  Crazy, huh?   Yet, I can literally sit for hours on ebay looking for vintage pyrex and I do well browsing pinterest for pyrex and a miriad of other things.  I have never pinned anything there in my life though.

Thanks everyone for adding your input on potholders!  And thanks for not telling me to sew or weave my own!  LOL!

Egad @novamc1, I'm not quite sure what happened but now when I did an additional search it matched color/price with BB&B -vs- Amazon . . . wow, that has never happened to me before but I am glad to know that BB&B has that variety on their site and you get to use their coupons to bring down the price even more!

Yes @mustang66lady you are the only person I know that has never ordered from Amazon! . . . just kidding, I know tons of people that have never even heard of them . . . I have just gotten so used to buying things from them and I very much appreciate their outstanding customer service I wouldn't think twice about ordering from them or recommending them.

@mustang66lady I forgot to ask again earlier, how is your sciatica doing?
