1 cup half and half (you coulld use cream but did not have)

2 cups milk

10 Bob's Sweet Stripes Soft Peppermint Sticks (5 ounces)

1-1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

pinch of salt

put all ingredients in blender and let set 15 minutes until candy is softened. then blend to combine.  Refrigerate until ready to churn.  put in ice cream maker and run until soft serve. my cuisinart takes 20 minutes.  transfer to storage container and  put in freezer.

we were in the mood for ice cream this weekend.  Flavor was to be vanilla but the leftover christmas candy caught my eye as i was getting the ingredients ready.  texture on day two was better than the usual vanilla...

Re: Peppermint Stick Ice Cream

Thanks for the recipe.  It would be a "must try" if I had an ice cream maker.

Re: Peppermint Stick Ice Cream

One of my fave flavors for sure---this weekend I went to a new ice cream shop near where I live---and had lemon ricotta cheesecake in a fresh waffle cone!!!  WOW!!!! Woman LOL
