Anyone have a recipe... very simple that I can try. I love peanut butter pie but I have an attention span of 15 minutes and like to finish things before I start. I cannot find it ready made in the store and have not had it in ages. Like it with chocolate and perhaps ready made crust.

I actually got this recipe here on this forum a long time ago. I have made this pie several times and it really is yummy!

Mrs. Salter's Peanut Butter Pie (from Paula Deen)

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

1/4 cup sugar

8 ounces cream cheese

1 cup crunchy peanut butter

1 cup powdered' sugar

1 graham cracker crust, store-bought or pre-made

1.Whip cream with 1/4 cup sugar.

2. Mix all other ingredients until smooth and fold in whipped cream until well blended.

3.Pour mixture into a graham cracker crust and chill for several hours before serving.

Following are notes from the poster who provided the recipe:

"This is rich and best served after chilling over night, in my opinion. I used creamy peanut butter. I think 1 cup of whipping cream probably would have been enough. I added a tsp. of vanilla to the whipped cream"

Hi bonnielu,

I love peanut butter too and this is one of my favorite peanut butter treats. Technically not a pie, but it is really yummy and goes together super fast (it includes everything even the pan and no baking). I make one little change, I like less chocolate so I don't cover it in the chocolate, I drizzle thin zigzags from side to side. If you have not tried it, I highly recommend it.

I also found a bunch of Peanut Butter Pie recipes on the Taste of Home website, that I narrowed down for you to recipes that are 15 minutes or less (plus a little chill til serving or freezing time) here is the link

http://www.tasteofhome.com/search/index?search=peanut+butter+pie&st=2&vw=1&page=1&rs=10&fc=15+mins&s...

Have fun and enjoy them.

PEANUT BUTTER PIE this makes 4 pies , WAS MY MOM'S, very old recipe
I love to have this in the freezer especially in the summer in case anyone pops in, so good and so easy.

4= 9" graham cracker crusts(regular or chocolate)SEE***NOTE***
11 oz softened cream cheese
1 lb powdered sugar
10 oz peanut butter, creamy
1/3 qt milk(1 1/4 c & 1 1/2 tbsp)
24 oz cool whip
chopped nuts opt or chocolate sprinkles for top

Whip cheese till light and fluffy, add sugar and peanut butter and mix very well.
Add milk, blend well. Fold in cool whip and fold and whip in very slowly.
Put into the 4 crusts and top with either chopped nuts or chocolate sprinkles or whatever you prefer.

STORE AND SERVE RIGHT FROM THE FREEZER. NO DEFROSTING TIME AT ALL, SERVE AND PUT BACK IN THE FREEZE WHAT YOU DON'T NEED OR WANT.

***NOTE***
I get the ready made keebler crusts since they come with their own lids and are just so much easier. chocolate or graham

Dolly Parton’s Peanut Butter Pie

1 ½ cup confectioner’s sugar

1 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 graham cracker crusts
1 large container Cool Whip
8 ounces cream cheese

Beat sugar, peanut butter and cream cheese in medium bowl. Stir in Cool Whip. Pour into crusts & you’re ready to serve. These pies can be frozen.

** I make with chocolate graham cracker crust. Filling recipe above comes just short of filling two pie shells, so to fill in extra space I cover top with cool whip and sprinkled peanut butter cookie crumbs over it and drizzled chocolate sauce – yummy!
