Peach OR Plumb Cake

2 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup sugar

4 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup orange juice

1 egg..beaten

cut up peaches OR plumbs (enough for the top of a 9x13 inch pan)

TOPPING:

1/2 CUP sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup soft butter

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. Cut in butter until its like grains of rice. Add milk and orange juice to well beaten egg. Stir into dry mixture, but DO NOT beat. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan. Put the cut up peaches OR plumbs on top. sprinkle the topping over the fruit. Bake on the center rack of oven at 375* for 30-35 minutes.
