Hi...going to small, casual, family get-together tonight for Golden Globes...hostess making some cx/cabbage/vegetable soup over rice thing she had recently and liked. (She's an "adventurous" foodie/cook, and it's either Vietnamese or something like that.) She may also do some potatoes with toppings. And she already has a simple dessert planned.

So, I just need to bring another one or two easy but good appetizer(s)...for some reason I looked through my cookbooks and FoodNetwork recipe box and nothing's jumping out to me.

Downside ...it's one of those Sundays I don't really feel like food shopping or cooking anything BIG deal, (I know..."baddd guest"), so am hoping to find something with a few ingredients and is easy to put together, yet still good!

Anyone got one "up there sleeve" they use for such occasions, with success? Tks~~
