I just checked the recipe for the Cream Puff Dessert in the cookbook and it does not say to cool the mixture before adding the eggs.

Didn't want to add to my answer on your thread in case you had already read that.

I'm definitely making it for tomorrow. I'll bake the shell and mix the filling, then I'll assemble them just before serving. Does that sound like a good plan?

Glad you found the recipe on the net. that looks like they made it in a round container.

I usually make mine a day ahead and just put the pudding mixture on top of the crust part and cover tightly in keep in the fridge. I would think as long as your pudding mixture is really cold, assembling the day you need it would work fine.
