Hi QVCJunkie - Hope you see this. Made your "Easy Cheesecake Pie", and it definitely was easy and better than that, it was delicious!!! Followed the recipe and baked it after adding the topping. Very, very good, thank you very much. ~Q
Easy Cheesecake Pie - QVCJunkie
LOVE cheesecake! But I don't always want to go to all that trouble of making a heavy cheesecake that's made in a springform pan.
So here's a tried and true easy version,made in a glass pie plate, that has a wonderful cheesecake taste but also not as expensive to make as a traditional one.
Easy Cheesecake Pie
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond flavoring (if you don't like almond, use vanilla)
TOPPING:
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Mix the first 4 ingredients together with mixer, put into a greased 9 in. glass pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Let set for 10 minutes then add topping. Mix topping ingredients in mixer and put on top, bake at 350 degrees for 10 more minutes. * note* I've made this many, many times without baking cheesecake after adding topping, and it still tastes wonderful.
Cool and refrigerate. May be served topped with strawberries or raspberries, if desired.
