I tried to find the original recipe that you posted for this recipe so I could comment on it, but evidently the posting period for a reply to this recipe has expired.

I made this last night for dinner and it was fabulous! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with meSmile

GARLICKY MUSHROOM LINGUINE

8 ozs. linguine

6 Tbsps. butter

1/2 cup chopped onions

5 garlic cloves, minced

16 ozs. button mushrooms, thickly sliced

1 /3 cup white wine

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. basil

2 Tbsps. dried parsley

6 Tbsps. heavy cream

Cook pasta in boiling, salted water, according to directions, drain and keep hot. While pasta is cooking, in a large skillet, melt butter, add onion, garlic and mushrooms, saute over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. Add wine, salt, pepper and basil to the skillet. Cover, and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Uncover. Add parsley and heavy cream. Simmer until liquid thickens and reduces a bit. Toss the hot cooked pasta with the mushroom sauce. Serve with garlic bread and a green vegetable or side salad.
