One Time Only??

Why are there numerous "One Time Onlys" now? Seems like almost hourly. Even offered with the TSV has not sold out. Sorry this is the wrong format, I know, but didn't know where to comment.

I think that QVC is merely offering us more opportunity to buy an item at a nicely reduced price. I have wanted the Barbara Bixby 18" necklace for a year or two but was not able to fork over $350 for it..... this morning I couldn't believe it was reduced to $199. Still hefty price tag but I'm going for it.....

Why not lots of OTO's? It gives them a chance to offer more sale items and because OTO's are right now always advertised as the lowest price for at least a year, if shoppers want it, they have an incentive to buy now. That makes sense to me.

QVC changed the way they do things. For many years, a One Time Only was offered only when a TSV was sold out, or very limited. Now the meaning of the OTO has changed. It is kind of a flash sale now and has nothing to do with the daily TSV.

I think that they are finally....trying to compete with the other most popular sites, but perhaps give it another name??? I am still waiting for better S&H from all of the sites...as HSN does have better S&H, and Evine and Q could take hints......Their easy pay has improved, and reduced S&H, but still some wiggle room left...

I never cease to be amazed by the comments on these boards.

Some people complain there are not enough sales while others complain there are too many.

Some people complain that they ship too slowly; others think they ship too quickly.

Some copmplain there are not enough easy pays while others coplain that they have too many.

I just do not understand what peple want from QVC.

I really wish QVC would go back to the old One Time Only deals. IMO, even though they were not offered every day because it would only be when the TSV sold out or was seriously limited, I feel like the offers were better and more varied. I liked the format they had before the current Today Only specials. Sometimes they would pop in randomly. Other times it would be on shows after the TSV sell out. I actually watched more often and bought more. Maybe it's a good thing they changed!
