tiramisu recipe

I decided to limit my baking and dessert making to once a week. I think this is going to happen here tomorrow. Click here for recipe.

housecat, PLEASE post how this turns out. I LOVE tiramisu but all the recipes seem to be so 'involved'.....I'm at the age that I just don't have the patience for all that anymore, so your post has me really curious.

Funny you should say that, ladybug. I read the recipe more carefully and changed my mind. If I'm missing more than one ingredient, it's a no-go for me. Maybe tiramisu is one of those things I'll continue to treat myself to in a restaurant.

I'm confused by "no-bake" in the title. I thought tiramisu was a collection of cold ingredients, with no baking involved?

Tiramisu is never baked.

Tiramisu is no-bake. I have to say, that recipe looks delicious.

The pain they have cost us, the evils that never happened.

How about a dip - unfortunately I have not tried this as yet.

Tiramisu Dip

Il Villaggio® Mascarpone is a smooth and tangy base for this elegant and sweet dessert dip.

8 oz. Il Villaggio® Mascarpone

1 cup heavy Cream

2 tsp. instant espresso coffee

½ tsp. vanilla extract

½ cup confectioner’s sugar

2 Tbsp. grated semi-sweet chocolate

Assorted biscotti

1. In a large mixing bowl, using a rubber spatula, stir Il Villaggio® Mascarpone until smooth; set aside.

2. In a separate mixing bowl combine cream and espresso; stir until dissolved. Stir in
vanilla and confectioner’s sugar. Using an electric mixer, whisk the cream mixture on high until soft peaks form.

3. Fold whipped cream mixture into mascarpone, one-third at a time, blending well between each addition. Transfer dip to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with grated chocolate. Serve with assorted biscotti. Serves 8

We like this one,

I also have put this in a 8/8 glass dish it was delicious!!

Saw this on Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee on Food Network. Made it for my husband when he came back from working out of town for a month and it was fabulous. I have never had Tiramisu but my Mom had eaten it before and she says it tastes just as good as the real stuff! A really quick and elegant dessert."

Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons Kahlua, I use a little more
  • 18 ladyfingers
  • 1 (8 ounce) containers mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 3 (4 ounce) containers refrigerated prepared vanilla pudding or just make a package of instant pudding, it is cheaper..
  • 6 teaspoons Cool Whip, I Make my own!! I also add a little powdered sugar so it has a better texture..
  • cocoa powder
Directions
  1. Line 6 glass custard cups with plastic wrap.
  2. Put 12 teaspoons Kahlua into a cup and quickly soak 3 lady fingers, turning to coat both sides, and place them in the bottom of one of the cups.
  3. Repeat for remaining cups.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In a bowl, whisk mascarpone, sugar, and remaining 2 tablespoons Kahlua until just smooth.!! I don't always add the extra Kahlua.
  6. Whisk in pudding.
  7. Divide pudding mixture equally among prepared cups.
  8. Fold the plastic wrap over the top of the pudding mixture and refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover cups.
  10. Turn cups onto plates and remove plastic wrap.
  11. Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with cocoa powder just before serving or grades choc bars!!

Hi Britbrit.............this is the first recipe for Tiramisu that I have seen that does not have coffee in it and I cannot have coffee. I have copied the recipe and will at some time be making it. Thank you so much for posting this one.
