This is an oldie but a goodie. It's more like candy than a cookie. I used to make these with my friend in Jr. High, then later with my son, who liked to take them to school for his birthday treat to share with the class.Smile

1 stick butter

2 cups sugar

½ cup milk

¼ cup cocoa

3 cups quick oats

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ cup peanut butter

In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, milk and cocoa.

Bring to boil over medium heat, then cook for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until combined.

Stir in oats. Drop by spoonful on waxed paper. (A scoop is easier than a spoon.) Cool.
