I just tried the Pioneer Woman BBQ Potato Salad recipe and it is REALLY good. I didn't think it sounded good, so I tried it! I figure that's the only way I won't keep eating the same thing if I try things that don't sound great sometimes!
Anyway it is mayo based with bbq sauce and a few other things--the pickled onions are very good! Just like my mother used to make with onions and cucumbers! I did add sweet pickle relish to the potato salad.
Have you discovered any new recipes for summer time fun?

@Sooner Today we are smoking ribs and macaroni and cheese. I aso made red white & blue cheesecake salad, delicious, a new red, white & buue dessert have yet to make, a new punch recipe (have not made it), and a new recipe for homemade ice cream. And this morning I made a breakfast casserole, using mixed berries and lemon curd (delicious), I am constantly trying new recipes!

WOW! It all sounds wonderful! Cheesecake salad? New to me! Let us know how the ice cream recipe works out. Is it for a big old style freezer or one of the smaller ones with the little tub you freeze?
Breakfast sounds good too! Lucky guests today! And of course smoked robs are always a favorite.

@Sooner I actually purchased the Ice Cream maker on QVC, cook Essentials, it was very good, no need to freeze the tub, jjust pour and then freeze, the cheese cake salad was so good, overall it was a wonderful day of eating and remembering and praying for the soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, prayers went up all day!

The Buitoni pasta website has many recipes for summer pasta-and-veggie salads that can be served cold.
Searching with the keywords "Buitoni recipes" brings up not only that website but many recipes from other sources.

Yesterday I made Trisha Yearwood's cold orzo salad. It was so light and refreshing and has a red wine vinagrette - no mayo.
Next time I'll put in 1/2 or less of the red onion - too much IMO.
I'll try to find the recipe.
ETA - recipe is on Food Network dot com
Ingredients
Directions
In a large saucepan over medium heat, add the stock, cover and bring to a boil. Then add the orzo and cook, stirring frequently, until al dente, 7 to 8 minutes. Drain the orzo in a colander and allow to cool completely.
In a large bowl, toss together the orzo, chickpeas, tomatoes, feta, olives, vinegar, oil, onion and salt and pepper to taste. Toss in the mint. Serve at room temperature.

@Sooner I tried the Down Home Baked Beans from All Recipes. Easy and Delicious! I made the suggested changes: 1 cup of brown sugar instread of 2 and a couple of squirts of mustard. Also, I sauteed the onions in the bacon grease. Then I added a pack of cut-up beef franks before baking. My husband said it was the best hot dog and baked beans "bake" he has ever had!
