I tried something a little different today for a pasta salad.
I had celery, a bag of Dole coleslaw mix (cabbage/carrots), elbow pasta, creamy Italian dressing Kraft w/olive oil), can of tuna and can of olives.
I put the olives, celery and coleslaw through the food processor until it was all chopped up quite small. Drained and flaked the tuna. Cooked the pasta (cooled it under cold water).
Mixed it all together ... added some salt and pepper and a bit of Spike (seasoning) ...
It needs to be chilled ... but I did a (rather large) taste test ... turned out really good!
I like a bit of additional crunchy topping ... so there's a choice of Kraft French Fried Onions, or crushed Dorito Chips or two flavors of potato chips for "garnish."

I love anything with a noodle. Tuna is my favorite and this recipe does sound quite tasty!

I chilled it for a couple of hours ... added more Italian dressing and some "crunchies" .... it turned out pretty good and it's filling/satisfying.

@ALRATIBA@Did that salad hold up well for a second day serving? It sounds really good but a bit too large for one meal at my house.

Yes - pasta salads usually hold up for a day or two. I plan on having it for late lunch / early dinner later (I'll be out all afternoon). I will probably have to add some more dressing. The pasta seems to "absorb" the dressing overnight.
I only used 1/2 lb pasta, one can of tuna, two stalks of celery, half a bag of cabbage and one can of olives. I usually make enough of everything I cook for next-day-leftovers.

So many uses - here are some of mine:
..... When I make Polish sausage and kraut (in beer in slow cooker) I add some of the cabbage.
....... Fry up some bacon (until crispy), onions and mushrooms along with the cabbage and serve with egg noodles. (Add a bit of red pepper flakes if you like.)
...... I usually add some of the cabbage when I make vegetable soup.
Another of my other uses ... tuna melt sandwiches.
Make your tuna salad with one can tuna, about 1 cup frozen peas, about 2 cups cabbage, a couple of tablespoons of Marie's Cole Slaw Dressing.
Mix it all togeether and refrigerate for a bit until the peas defrost and salad is chilled.
English muffins halved (or your favorite bread ... Levi's rye is good)
Favorite cheese for melting.
Spoon over muffin or bread. top with slices of cheese and microwave until cheese is melted.

I mix small box of ring pasta, bag of coleslaw mix, chopped green pepper, chopped onion and mix mayo and sugar for the dressing. I don't have the exact measurements of mayo and sugar (may be equal parts) but there are all kinds of recipes if you google it.
