Need molasses or gingersnap cookie recipe

I don't even know what these are called.  I made a recipe off an old jar of molasses about a year ago.  Since then I can't even find that kind of molasses in my limited shopping area or online.  I think it was Brer Rabbit, in a green label jar.  I have another brand with a green label, Grandma's, and the recipe on their bottle is not the right one.

Is it this one found on the Brer Rabbit website?  It's for Molasses Sugar Cookies.  I linked Brer Rabbit to the recipe.

Re: Need molasses or gingersnap cookie recipe

I'm not much of a baker but it seems molasses cookies, ginger snaps, and gingerbread cookies are very similar.  I'm still planning to make gingerbread before Christmas.

This is our favorite.

I always omit the cloves, Nobody likes cloves ;-)

~ Sparkly Crackly Gingersnaps ~

Makes 3 dozen

6 Tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Beat butter with sugar until fluffy, mix in molasses and egg. Sift dry ingredients and add to wet mixture. Mix well, chill in refrigerator 2 hours or freezer 1 hour. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Roll into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake on greased (or nonstick) cookie sheets 10-12 minutes. (mine took exactly 10 minutes) I always check mine starting at 8 minutes. Remove from pan immediately and cool on wire rack.

So easy and delicious

Re: Need molasses or gingersnap cookie recipe

Check the website, what a concept.  I guess I figured I just couldn't spell Br'er, but they dumped the apostrophe and it would have come up.  I don't think the one I made used a cookie cutter, but I'm trying  that one and all these posted in the next couple weeks.  Thanks to all ! ! !  DH will love you, he says I don't bake enough, I rely on too much store stuff.
