I don't wrap mine -  just wet it and put it in the microwave as is.  I do 4 minutes -  that works perfectly for me -  but you might want less time if you have a newer, more powerful machine.  Mine has 750 watts -  lots of newer ones have more.

@millieshops  Do you have to turn it?

@ValuSkr  I don't turn mine.  I've never made more than 2 ears at one time though, so I have no experience with a larger quantity.  I hadn't heard of microwaving it when I was doing quantity.

Please help: Put two ears of unshucked corn in a 1100 microwave, for 3 minutes total, for best results. Correct? Thank you.

@whitedogs

I woud do no more than 2 minutes in your 1100 microwave.  If I buy sweet corn on the cob, I like to eat it raw.  Here is a tutorial that may be of help:

Re: Microwave corn test

I microwave mine and wrap it in foil when I take it out to sit until I am ready to eat it.  Works for me.

Time varies because I have a small 750W micro just for warming and boiling water.

I only cook corn or broccoli in the microwave.  Just can't really get into them.
