My niece is having the picnic this year and asked me to bring these two items, so I thought I would share and if anyone else would like to contribute that would be great!

I got this salad recipe from my grocers weekly ad a few years ago and it is always requested for me to bring to the picnics.

Italian Pasta Salad

3 cups (8oz.) rotini pasta cooked and drained ( I use tri colored or I get bowtie)

2 cups broccoli flowerets

1 bottle (8oz.) Kraft House Italian with Olive Oil Blend Dresssing

1 cup (4oz) Kraft 100% grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup each red pepper, pitted ripe olive and slivered red onion

TOSS all ingredients. Refrigerate. Makes 8 servings.

I have doubled this recipe.

This is from our local churches cookbook, it is yummy.

Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

Ice Cream Sandwiches (I use the softer cookie ice cream sandwiches see below for how many, use rectangular sandwiches)

chocolate and caramel ice cream toppings (1 jar each)

cool whip

The quantity of ingredients depends on the size of the pan. For an 11x13 inch pan you will need about 18 sandwiches. Place layer of sandwiches on bottom of pan, drizzle with about 1/2 the caramel and chocolate, Add another layer of sandwiches and drizzle with more of the caramel and chocolate. Cover with whipped topping. Freeze over night. Will you slice this they will think you worked so hard to make it. I don't use all the caramel or chocolate. Put on what you think you will like.
