This is the to-die-for recipe I use, and at the bottom of the recipe, are slow cooker instructions along with a neat slow cooker hint.

Like @spix, my "go-to" recipe is Party Potatoes from all recipes.com.

 

I was also going to suggest @Ainhisg's hint on avoiding "soupy" crockpot potatoes of putting a clean dish towel or paper towels (du-uh on my part! LOL) under the lid to help absorb the condensation.   I still give 'em a stir now and then.
