Making a Labor Intensive Black Forest Cake

I just got a recipe for an outstanding, but labor intensive, Black Forest Cake.

I plan to make it tomorrow for Mother's Day.

Does anyone have any tips (or recipes) before I take the plunge.

This is an authentic one made w/Kirschwasser and Morella Cherries. A friend made it and gave me her recipe. It is, by far, the best one I ever tasted.

If it turns out well, I will share the recipe. LOL.
