Looking For Cream Center Candy Recipe

I've been making a few types of candy for Christmas (almond crunch, chocolate covered peanut butter balls, and chocolate covered pretzels). I still buy my other favorite which is vanilla butter creams but would like to try making them. I haven't been able to find a recipe for the butter cream center. Do any of you candymakers have one? TIA
