Re: Lisa's roasted cauliflower recipe

Shoekitty, I am making that bread this week! I am still afraid to try raising my own sour dough starter, but King A has a sour dough flavor you can add. The problem is, it's been hit or miss with that. Before trying it again, I want to call the Baker's Hotline. I miss you and the gang from "Cooking with Shoekitty" so much..... a big hug, I miss you, Poodlepet

I'm thinking I could microwave them a bit as Respect does, but the idea of starting them off in the oven prior to adding other veggies is appealing as well.... I just don't have an idea of time because typically when I roast sweet potatoes, I roast them whole. Thanks, Poodlepet

Oh Poodle, I am so very sorry not to have seen your question. I was off line until today.

I usually microwave the sweet pots whole for approx. 6 mins, poking some holes of course. Let them cool, then dice.

They are still hard but seem to match up w/ the time it takes me to roast the cauli pretty good. If I have over microwaved them at all...then I add them later and give everybody a stir on the cookie sheet to get the spices/oil etc on the sweet pots too.

I always add a little more shredded Parm/Regg cheese when I remove it from the oven.

I think the Wegman's Basting Oil is key to why I like this so much. It has such great herbs in it!

Glad yours turned out good!

Lisa's family cooked vegetarian. That is how she was raised.

I am not entirely sure this is accurate.

Yes, I have heard her say it many times.
