When any of you get the Lisa Brady Instant Pot cookbook would you take a few minutes to give us opinions of it.  I wanted to order, but it was sold out, then it was available Monday and Tuesday it was unavailable again.  Hoping Amazon has it available for sale soon.  I'm sure it'll be cheaper.

@coffee drinker   I ordered the book and the Instant Pot, my first.  The cooker is to be delivered to me today, but not the book.  When her book arrives I'll do my best to post here to let folks know how it seems once I've perused it.

I have two Cooks Essentials electronic pressure cookers and some books, so am familar with the basic ideas of using a pressure cooker but wanted this one since she wrote it specifically for this IP model.

@aroc3435 @coffee drinker   I just got the book "From Freezer to Instant Pot: The Cookbook" today.  I found it on Amazon but haven't used it yet.  I thought you might be interested.

It seems very thorough and tells you how to cook frozen foods in the IP.  It gives basic recipes and variations on it too, and time charts for how long to cook things from the frozen state.

I think it talks about how to assemble frozen one-pot things too and have them ready to just put in and cook.

Like I say, I just got it but it was $6.99 I think and looks very interesting.

@coffee drinker @Dawnsd   Lisa Brady's Instant Pot Basics arrived and it is worth the price for me.  She does describe the Instant Pot features pretty well.  In the various chapters she does include sous vide recipes where appropriate.

The recipes in the different categories are the type most of us would be familiar with and use easily available ingredients.

Over the weekend or early next week I'll try some of her recipes.  The pot roast and pork loin ones are similar to others I've used, both in another pressure cooker and on the top of my stove.

I very much like the stainless steel inner pot rather than a non-stick one.  Lisa mentions some basic accessories that are useful/necessary for making some recipes, such as a 7 inch springform pan for cheesecake or a 7 inch Bundt pan for cakes.

@aroc3435  Thank you for your reply. Good to know the cookbook is worth it.  I buy IP cookbooks and am usually disapointed.  Her book doesn't show on the listings, so maybe they're waiting for it to be back in stock.  I'll keep checking Q and Amazon (who usually has cheaper prices). Do post back when you cook from the cookbook.  FYI -- I'm one who has cooked from the stovetop jiggler type of PC, electric ones and even have an 8 qt. IP, but today I broke down and bought a 6 qt. IP with the sous vide (sp?) feature.  Costco has it for $69 and free shipping and I could not resist.  It's coming Wednesday.   and all the "hearts" you give some of my posts.

Also thank you for the hearts you've given some of my postings.  I appreciate each and every one of them.

Re: Lisa's Cookbook

[ Edited ]

@coffee drinker, as promised. @Dawnsd @Sooner   I've just made and posted my first recipe from Lisa Brady's new book in the September 2019 Recipe Game.

I had all the ingredients since I often cook Asian influenced concotions.

It is called Cashew Chicken Stir Fry.

Very tasty and I'm eating it now with leftover white rice that I reheated.

I often eat non traditional things for breakfast, by the way.
