Lime Pie Recipe - Trying Again

This is an easy, refreshing, delicious pie recipe – (I have a chocolate freezer pie that’s fabulous and I will share it in another post).

Lime Pie: 2 1/2 cups of applesauce; one 3-ounce box of lime jello; one cup of sugar; two tablespoons lime juice – one 13-ounce can evaporated milk, chilled; two 9-inch graham cracker crusts; one-eighth (1/8) teaspoon grated lime rind – garnished with lime twist and whipped cream.

Heat applesauce in pan – don’t boil – stir in jello and sugar, lime juice, and rind - mix well - remove from heat – whip evaporated milk until thick – fold into jello mixture – spoon into crust and chill till firm.

Store any leftovers in refrigerator.
