WendyDarling, I just wanted to give you a little tip if you are ever in a bind. I'm on a walker (if you had not seen some of my other posts) so do not cook as much or drive. People get my groceries and many times I am grabbing whatever is left in pantry/frig. to suffice until my groceries come. This brings me to the "Mayo" LilBit mentions in her recipe. I did not know that Sour Cream and/or Mayo could be baked like this either. But one day, in my pinch, I boiled my noodles, did not have anything but butter and wanted to jazz it up a bit. I added Hellmans Mayo, S & P, Garlic & Onion Powder & the butter. It really was not bad!! So when I saw LilBit's recipe and your question on mayo/sour cream I wanted to tell you this story.
LilBitMissty, What mayo do you prefer in baking your taco deep dish? I love Hellmans but use Miracle Whip for my Deviled Eggs. My mom always used Miracle Whip for eggs, potatoe salad, etc.
