Lemon-Lime Soda Salad

1 large pkg. lemon jello

2 cups boiling water

2 cups cold shasta lemon lime soda

1 cup mini marshmallows

1 cup crushed pineapple...drained RESERVE juice

TOPPING:

2 teaspoons butter

2 teaspoons flour

1/4 cup sugar

1 egg

reserved juice from pineapple

1 (8 ounce) tub cool whip

Chill pineapple til needed. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Cool. Add lemon lime soda. Stir in marshmallows and pineapple. Chill.

FOR THE TOPPING: Mix butter, flour, sugar, egg and pineapple juice together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook til thick and creamy. Refrigerate til cool. Fold in cool whip. Pour and spread over jello mixture. Refrigerate 2 hours.

****I like to add chopped pecans when the jello is almost set! Yumm!***
