I decided to make some pies tomorrow and thought I would try Laura's pie crust.

I got out her recipe and noticed it calls for 1/4 cup cold shortening in addition to 1 Tablespoon cold butter.

I have watched Laura make her pie crust in the KA Food Processor a few times and I never noticed her putting any "Crisco" in with the flour...only butter. (I've seen her throw a "fair share" of butter in but no "Crisco".){#emotions_dlg.blink}

Anyone use her recipe? Did u use Crisco? Did u just use butter in place of the Crisco (plus the 1 Tablespoon of butter)?{#emotions_dlg.crying}
