Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

I wash mine in cold water, dry them only on the lowest setting on my machine. They take about 10 minutes to dry completely. I've not discovered how to stop the static but most all manmade fabrics shock me when we don't have any humidity in our atmosphere here. I keep a spray bottle of water on the dryer and spritz the sheets before trying to remove them. The first year I had these, I didn't realize they shouldn't be used with fabric softener and it made a big difference in the finish, they pilled something bad. Tossed them and started over reading the instructions. I just don't want to get through the winter without my Berkshire sheets.

Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

Update. Thank you all for the advice. Mine came yesterday and I washed in cold water and dried with low heat . Didn't take long and they came out so soft. There was a lot of lint which remained on sheets so had to shake and brush off. I imagine that will be gone soon! Susi.

Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

I just use low heat for about 20 minutes or until dry-not too long.  They have lasted through many launderings...

Was wondering how to dry them. It says tumble dry with no heat. I bought king sized and think it would take forever on no heat. What has been your experience ? Thanks in advance, Susi.

@Susic I also have the king size and dry them on my "less heat" setting. The cycle lasts about 15-20 minutes and they come out dry and fluffy. We love them.
