Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

Was wondering how to dry them. It says tumble dry with no heat. I bought king sized and think it would take forever on no heat. What has been your experience ? Thanks in advance, Susi.

Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

I have about ten sets of these. I tumble them dry on medium at most.

They really do spin almost completely dry, but I find the low to medium heat is just fine.

I want to say I even forgot and have done high heat once or twice and they still came out well.

Just no softener or fabric sheets!

Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

Thank you Laura! That was what I was hoping. I never have much luck with drying huge items under no heat. Will try low, think it will be fine. Was surprised to find post in recipes, but you answered my question.

@Susic You're welcome. I have queen sizes and they do dry quickly and well. Enjoy!

[ Edited ]

I always dry them on low, but I always use a little fabric softener in the winter. I never have a "softener buildup" I use detergent and warm water, which washes it out every time.  The static electricity is just too much and the fabric softener eliminates that.  I've had fleece sheets for 20 years.

Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

Thanks good to know about static electricity, just in case. Looking forward to getting them tomorrow . Cold front in Florida this week. I bought the comforter too and it is very puffy. That would be too much to wash, and probably cost as much as purchase price to bring it to laundromat!.

Re: Laundering Berkshire Velvetsoft Sheets Question

I have had these sheets in King size for years and I wash them on cold and dry on medium.  I have never had a problem with static and I have the old ones that are like fleece.  Their sheets are so nice and warm and comfortable.

No static issues here either. I also wash in cold.
