Hello, I'm returning after being absent for quite some time.
I don't measure mine, I just mix and taste. So will try to give a close measurement for what I use.
Small head of cabbage, grated
1 lg carrot gratted
1/2 green pepper shredded (optional)
1 cuo miracle whip
1 ~2 tsp vinegar
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp horseradish.
1/4~1/2 cup sugar to your liking
Mix the vinegar, milk, sugar, abd miracle whip together. If to thick add more milk, to thin add more miracle whip.
Have shredded cabbage and carrots, and horseradish in the bowl. Shake up the dressing, and pour over all. Refrigerate.
Enjoy!

Ok, I just made a hodgepodge of all of these lovely recipes and boy is that good coleslaw. I was so used to buying deli coleslaw I had forgotten how good homemade is . . . that's it for me, I'm making my own from now on!
Thanks everybody for the recipes!

DH and I like coleslaw and I like to put all of the ingredients in my food processor and "pulse" until the cabbage/vegies are chopped to my liking. By then the "dressing" is incorperated into the salad and I only have one dirty dish. It would be more tricky to do if you were serving a crowd, but for 2-6 this works well for me. . .

I have it in a recipe book somewhere. It may take me a day or two to find it, but please check back because I will post it for you when I find it.

@HGinLA wrote:Hello All!
Would anyone have a recipe that would mirror the taste of the KFC coleslaw?
Mom loves the stuff but it's outrageously priced...I can duplicate the look and texture of the cabbage and carrot but haven't spotted a recipe the would be like the KFC taste.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
@HGinLA I used to be crazy for KFC coleslaw, but since have discovered The Neely's Spicy Coleslaw, from the Food Network, and think it is the best ever.
2 pounds green cabbage
4 carrots
1 medium yellow onion
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup mustard
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Cut cabbage in quarters and remove core. Peel carrots and onion and cut into pieces that would fit through the feed tube of a food processor. Fit food processor with the large-holed grater attachment and push cabbage, carrots, and onions through feed tube to grate. In a large bowl, toss vegetables together.
In another medium bowl, prepare the coleslaw dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, mustard, cider vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and cayenne. Toss dressing with the cabbage mixture, and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
