Hi LoLa! This doesn't sound silly at all! It's right up my alley. I like the addition of Parmesan to the mix! Thank you very much.
I use a similar recipe that I found awhile ago, and put blobs of it in ice cube trays, and after frozen, pop them out & keep in a Ziploc baggie in the freezer. At first, I tried using it primarily for sauteing, but had to be careful that the garlic didn't scorch. So, now, I drop in a blob right near the end of the sauteing process, & it adds a nice flavor. I've also heated it, added some white wine & tossed it w/ pasta & Parmesan for a quick side dish.

Ingredients1 cup whole butter1 cup extra virgin olive oil2 Tbsp fresh garlic, minced1 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped1 Tbsp fresh parsley, choppeda few dashes red pepper flakes½ tsp salt½ tsp black pepper1 Tbsp lemon juiceInstructionsLet butter rest at room temperature until softened.Rough chop the basil and parsley – set aside.In a mixing bowl, whip butter for about 2 minutes until fluffy.Turn mixer off and add garlic, basil, parsley, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, salt and pepper.Turn the mixer on to medium to low and slowly add the extra virgin olive oil so all ingredients are combined.Store in an air tight container.
