It's a keeper: TORTELLINI SOUP

After several warm/wonderful Spring days, we've had thunder, rain, hail and snow this afternoon in Kansas. It was perfect weather for a new soup recipe and the family's verdict: "It's a keeper!"

TORTELLINI SOUP

1 pkg. cheese tortellini (20 oz)

1 lb. Italian sausage, cut in small pieces

1 onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

2 cloves minced garlic

1 can (undrained) green beans

1 T dry parsley

2 t oregan

1 can chicken broth

1 1/2 quarts tomato juice

Brown sausage, onion, green pepper and garlic together. Drain fat. Combine all ingredients, excepting tortellini, and simmer 1 hour. (OR place ingredients in slow cooker and heat several hours on low.) Add tortellini the the last 15 minutes and cook until tender.
