This recipe is a refrigerator peach pie my grandma used to make
Using fresh peaches from her yard

SUMMER PEACH PIE

1 deep dish pie crust, baked , cooled
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
3 tbsp peach jello
Dash salt
1 1/2 cup diced fresh peaches ( if really juicy drain in colander, you can save the juice and use part in place of the water )
Set aside

Mix the sugar , cornstarch , salt , jello , water in heavy saucepan
Cook over med heat until thick , place pan in cold water until cooled fold in the peaches
Pour into pie crust
Refrigerate until chilled , serve with sweetened whipped cream

You can make summer strawberry pie using strawberry jello instead of peach jello and sliced strawberries instead of the diced peaches

Our favorite summer pie is a Kool-Aid Pie:

Quickly stir together one can Eagle Brand condensed milk, one thawed container Cool Whip, and one envelope kool-aid, pour into graham cracker crust and chill.

Grape, black cherry, tropical punch and orange are our favorite flavors.

This sounds refreshing....what size ctn of Cool Whip?  8 oz, 12 oz, etc?

@Texas Gray Wolf

I use 8 oz containers of Cool Whip, but using a 12 oz container would not ruin this pie.

Too many to choose from but what how pretty they will all be!!

Different packets of Kool-Aid flavors on a counter.

@beckyb1012 has tempted me with all those flavors. I might be buying some KoolAid for the first time in thirty years.

I loved Edward's Lemon Meringue pie.  They replaced it with a bunch if fluff and lemon nuggets.  I threw it out.

I love my white chocolate dream pies. The recipe is on the Dream Whip box. Very easy and very tasty. I add some white chocolate chips on top and yum! I use the Jello instant, sugar-free, fat-free white chocolate pudding/pie filling, and a pre-baked shell.

I never heard the phrase icebox pie before and so I had to look it up. The most delightful lemon pie recipe came up, along with a history lesson of how it came to be called icebox pie.

Maybe I am reading the recipes in this thread wrong, but it seems like any cream(y) pie falls under the general category of what could be referred to as an icebox pie.

This thread has many recipes I want to try. Thanks to all who shared your yummy recipes.

No Bake Key Lime Pie

1 small box lime jello

2 containers Yoplait Key Lime yogurt (or your favorite same size brand)

1/4 cup boiling water

8 oz container Cool Whip

Graham Cracker Pie shell

Dissolve and stir lime jello in boiling water

Fold in lime yogurt until mixed together

Fold in Cool Whip until well blended

Pour into graham cracker pie shell

Refrigerate at least 2 hours

This is an easy and refreshing summer dessert!
