Years ago, when my kids were small, I found a recipe in a Pillsbury Bake-Off Book for a fruitcake. My first thought was YUCK...fruitcake. But, this particular recipe didn't call for candied cherries or any of that "icky" stuff which made fruitcake just unbareable to eat. I used this recipe over and over again. I would bake these cakes in round cans that I saved, remove from can, wrap in plastic wrap with a bow on top and give to my friends and neighbors. Everyone loved these cakes, especially my father who was very hard to please.
Well, years later I lost the recipe. It was called YES, VIRGINIA FRUITCAKE. I have many Pillsbury Bake-Off books but can't find that recipe. I would really appreciate some help.
