Interesting and don't usually have left over ingredients when I cook but have now and then. First thing that comes to mind is pizza sauce when I make tortilla pizza and always some left over and think I will use again soon but don't. End up tossing but won't do that any more.
Thanks for the tip.
I do freeze my leftovers and take for lunch for work down the road. I make my own tv dinners as well with leftovers. I have lock n lock divided containers that holds three items. Small and larger ones. Works great.

@Mom2Dogs wrote:I also cook for two...I put servings in cup cake pans, freeze, then wrap indivdual servings...easy to pull from the freezer and use...things like taco meat, frozen fruit salad, coffee cake, and I also make pound and do the same...easier than trying to cut a slice of something ib a larger container.
I like doing some breads or rolls in cupcake size portions. Keeps us on the right path.

I do the same thing all the time too. Especially for the pesto I make as well as the extra tom paste -- do the stocks/broths and avocados too--really handy and very easy to do
