Yes! Blue cheese vs ranch seems to be very polarizing lol. I'm team blue cheese & can't imagine eating wings with anything but! The more blue cheese crumbles, as shown in the pic, the better! As for the wings themselves, to me it's always much easier just to get a giant bag of unbreaded from the freezer section. I prefer to air fry. However, my air fryer isn't that large so if I were making for a large crowd I'd have to do them in batches. More likely than not, I'd just use a large sheet pan in the oven though.

@KingstonMom Easiest thing in the world! I just melt the jam in the micro and then give the wings a good toss. Now I am hungry for wings. Lol

My family absolutely loves wings, but this is not something that has to be homemade for us; we prefer to get them from Gino's or Papa John's. We like BBQ and Spicy wings, and no one dips them in anything. We reheat in the air fryer successfully.

Google Alton Brown's Buffalo Wings. Great wings.

Good grief people! Parts is parts. Chicken wings are just chicken--like the thigh and the leg. It's just chicken.

@house_cat I suspect your children want FRIED chicken wings and/or Buffalo Wings.
If there is a grocery store in your area that has a kitchen they will gladly make up a fried chicken/Buffalo Wings platter w/all the extras included. You will need to place a "reservation" for pickup Christmas Eve pickup.
Is there a Shoprite in your town? From my experience, grocery stores w/kitchens do a better platter job than restaurants.

@house_cat if you are not familiar with chicken wings, you should ask your kids a few questions as there are variables and you probably want to have what thry want.
Personally i like mine from Publix deli but Winn Dixie had even more variety in a wing bari could mix and match and as a single person that was great, salt n vinegar, bbq, teriyaki, traditional ..could get a mixture of those in one serving even...just winn dixie was not convenient for me to get to.
OR just forgoe all my nonesense and do like the smart @Mz iMac @suggested and order a platter from a supermarket deli and rewarm next day ....easy peasy and would satisfy anyone...and i hope you try them. Lik@Sooner said its just chicken!

I've never had them, but I used to get the boneless ones w/teriyaki sauce at Zaxby's until they stopped offering them.
I thought they were breaded, deep-fried, and then sauced.

I'm with the ladies here who suggest checking with your favorite local grocer - deli department. Most of them either cater or offer plenty of holiday trays for entertaining, including wings. Trying to do them yourself on such a busy day sounds a bit crazy to me! I'm quite sure you can get a tray of hot wings (probably what your kids want, but check with them) that will be good. Of course it's cheaper to buy the frozen wings and bake, fry or grill them yourself and then sauce them, but that's asking a lot on such a busy day, especially if you've never made them before. Good luck!
ETA: I don't like handling raw chicken ... never have, but I do it. That said, I enjoy chicken wings even though I never thought I would. I don't knaw all the meat off the bones, but I like the hot and spicy flavor of the meat. Try it, you might be surprised!

@jannabelle1 I'm with you...don't like to handle raw chicken, any of it. I can do boneless, skinless thighs but that's it!
Most Grocer deli's off chicken wing platters for pickup!
Publix has 50 wings for under $40. Cheap enough!
