I thought I had everything that I needed to make some hummus today but discovered at the last minute that I didn't have sesame seeds. I had some sunflower seeds and debated if I might be able to substitute. I decided to go for it, and will admit it isn't too bad. The sunflower seeds still gives that 'nutty' flavor that the sesame seeds would have given. Just thought I would share with you. (I used the VitaMix recipe from the book - made it exactly as called for with this one substitution). ![]()
