How do you make a Moscow Mule

I have all the ingredients to make these, including copper cups, for Christmas Eve. However.....in searching for a tried and true recipe, I notice they differ in proportions of ingredients. Can you share a recipe you have already tried and liked. I have only sipped, but found them refreshing. Fingers crossed my "idea" works and my family likes this drink. Merry Christmas to the Best Cooks I know. You never disappoint with your answers and gladly share some very terrific recipes. Your recipes are special. Enjoy a Blessed Season, and Merry Christmas to All! Cece

  • 1 sprig fresh mint
  • 1 slice of lime

I'm curious. Why does it have to be in a copper mug?

Re: How do you make a Moscow Mule

Thank you, MYWoman. That is the recipe I copied from Oprah, but it includes sugar syrup and mint that I didn't remember from my few "sips" during this past summer. Thanks for posting, and I likely will use it.......Jean Louise Finch, you are right. Copper mugs really do keep it cold longer.

Re: How do you make a Moscow Mule

One of my favorite drinks. Fill copper mug with ice, add 2oz of vodka, juice from half a lime and fill with ginger beer. No sugar syrup.... that would just ruin it IMHO.
