I made this yesterday to take to a friend's house, thought I would share it with you. This recipe came from my SIL.

Hot Taco Dip

1 lb ground chuck

½ cup chopped onion

1 chopped green pepper

1 tsp chili powder

1 can dark red kidney beans

1 8oz taco sauce (mild, med or HOT)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Salt & Pepper to taste

Brown meat and drain. Add chopped onion & pepper and saute for a bit. Drain beans and smash with a fork to soften. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well- Transfer to oven safe baking dish, add cheese on top of mixture and bake uncovered 30 minutes at 350 degrees (or until cheese is melted). Serve immediately with taco chips.

When I make a larger amount (which I usualy do) I use 2 lbs ground chuck and 2 cups shredded cheese and do not increase the other ingredients.
