Happy Easter and/or Passover!!

I just made this pie this morning by special request from my 10 year old daughter. She is reading a book called Pie by Sarah Weeks and it is filled with yummy pie recipes.

Here is the one for Chocolate Cream Pie (absolutely delicious!)

CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE

1 cup sugar

3 TBS. corn starch

3 TBS. cocoa powder

3 egg yolks

3 cups milk

pinch of salt

1 TBS. butter

1 tsp. vanilla extract

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, salt, cornstarch and cocoa powder. In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks and milk together and add to powder mixture in sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell and cool. Then refrigerate and serve with whipped cream.
