Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoned Dishes

I've had  packets  of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning around for a while and went looking for ways to use them.

This Hidden Valley website has many easy recipes that look really good.  I was originally searching pork recipes, but the vegetable dishes look good, too.

As you all probably know but I discovered a little late, you can now buy a convenient shaker container of the seasoning.

I LOVE ranch dressing, I'm like the commercial for Frank's Red Hot sauce and I will put that **** on anything but the few times I've had something made using the HVR packets for the seasoning I didn't care for it at all.

I will be using some tonight! I make ranch chicken with one package of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix and one of taco seasoning. I shred the chicken and use it for tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, and nachos.

Thanks for your interesting comments.  I'm crazy about Ranch Dressing, too, and consider eating Buffalo wings or salad as just another excuse to consume more of it.

But I don't buy the bottled Hidden Valley, or any bottled dressings.  Years ago I fell in love with the refrigerated Marie's Ranch Dressing found in grocery produce departments.  DH loves Marie's Blue Cheese.

I bought the seasoning packets a long while ago to use just as seasoning.  I'll try a little tonight on pork tenderloin, along with a basting of apricot preserves.

I've had that jar of preserves around for a while, too, and never made the long-forgotten recipe that inspired me to buy the stuff in the first place!!

Tonight should officially be called "Clean Out the Pantry Night".

The potato wedges with the dry Ranch dressing are awesome! There are many recipes using google!

I can't put my hands on the recipe I use at the moment, but I'll look for it!

I'm with DH, I love Marie's Blue Cheese as a dip or salad dressing!

@KingstonsMom

I believe the potato recipe you mentioned is on the back of the box of Hidden Valley seasoning packets.  So I have it.   Will add to a list of possibilities.

I also have made (a long time ago) a recipe from Paula Deen for Taco Soup. As I recall, it calls for a packet of Ranch dressing mix.

I just don't make that soup anymore, because it makes such a huge amount and isn't that easy to cut down.  It was really good, though.

I've used the shaker container when cooking meats all the time.  Hamburgers, pork, chicken.  Makes a big difference.

Re: Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoned Dishes

Years ago I had a book on all the things you could make with the dressing.  I think it was the envelope type.  It was probably a free book sent from the Company from an advertisement in a woman's magazine!  It was very popular.
